Megan Bales is a loser. She's shy, overweight, and a single mother. Her twin sister, Maya, is the definition of perfection. She's beautiful, confident, and engaged to a councilman of Heart City named Ethan Berry. Maya is getting married in less than a year and Megan can't fit into her bridesmaid dress, nor does she have a date.
When Megan overhears her grandmother complaining about how sad her life is, she realizes how bad it'll be at the wedding. She doesn't want any of the pitiful looks and the constant whispers. So she hatches a plan. In order to avoid being the saddest thing at the reception, Megan needs a banging body and a loving boyfriend, two things that aren't easily attainable.
Gregory Matthews, aka Griffin, is the friendliest person on the planet, and he helps Megan with her situation. In addition to becoming her trainer, he comes up with a ludicrous idea to be her pretend-boyfriend, but deceiving the Bales clan won't be easy. They'll have to get to know each other, be around each other, and possibly grow feelings for each other.
Megan also has a tremendous secret that could break up the bride and groom.
Can she make it to the wedding day without losing her sister or demolishing her own heart?
