The old world is dead. The new one is unforgiving.

Centuries after the Event, a handful of walled cities squat in the dust like fortresses—safe, cold, and ruled by a shadow government that controls everything.

Wingdim doesn't belong to the cities. He's a smuggler—one of the few willing to ride the ruins, slip the checkpoints, and bring back what the system says no one is allowed to have. When he's offered a job with a payout too large to be real, he sees a chance at freedom.
