Iris Amare is a college student and aspiring social reformer working on a menstrual justice campaign. There is a dark cloud hanging over her, though–anorexia overshadows Iris's life as a changemaker, draining her spirit and threatening her survival. Overwhelmed and alone, Iris must navigate a cause she's alienated from while trying to kill an eating disorder she can't disentangle from herself.
An unexpected friend and political ally, Eve Delacroix, is a ray of hope that promises to pull Iris out of her mental onslaught. Together, the two of them find purpose in their causes; but, when Iris's eating disorder is publicly exposed, she is ripped apart from Eve and must find a way to stay afloat while slipping beyond reach.
