The Fae have long since fled the western hempishere after the war between Fae and humans erupted a hundred or so years ago. Divided by oceans and a treaty struck between them keeps the peace. However, Gunner, a boy home from college for the holidays believes not all the Fae left and are still among them, hidden by glamours and magics.
One night, Gunner and his friends revisit their old party spot and gather around an ancient Fae relic the towns youth use as a bonfire for their parties. A hundreds year old Weeping Willow tree, engulfed in flames that never dies out and holds a gruesome secret. For years Gunner never had proof to convince his friends his claim was right until he and his closest friend Brigg dug up a diary, written by a Goddess herself, that would expose the truth.
However, not all stories are meant to be shared around a fire. Not all stories are for others to tell. And sometimes stories have consequences when opened without permission.
Gunner may have found his proof and the truth of what still resides in the woods, but will he and his friends survive the night with The Green Goddess listening high in the trees as her privacy is invaded?
