Book #1 - Part 1
Ethan Barnes hated his stepbrother, Lloyd Dawson.
Lloyd reminded Ethan of everything he had lost as a kid, everything he wanted to forget.
Even though they had known each other since they were teenagers, they had not once talked, not once lived under the same roof, and other than going to the same university, nothing else connected their lives.
The thinly veiled mutual dislike between them was mirrored by their cold demeanour. They passed each other in the classrooms and corridors like two strangers, playing along with the unspoken agreement: we don't know each other, we don't have a past to share, stay out of my way.
It didn't bother Ethan at all. That was exactly what he wanted: distance and remain strangers forever.
Trust Lloyd Dawson to break their mutual agreement and ruin everything. After a few fights and insults, unexpected circumstances forced the stepbrothers to move in together. Against his will, Ethan started desiring Lloyd, but Lloyd had made it clear from the start that Ethan wasn't his type.
