Sedili

Sedili is a small village on the east coast of Malaysia. In an almost magical way Willem van Lier gets involved in the aftermath of an investigation his father, who was an intelligence officer in Batavia, conducted over a century ago concerning the illegal commercial activities of a Chinese businessman on behalf of Japan, which was heading for war.
In his search for the meaning of his life, Willem has to deal with the spirit of a deceased woman and a Japanese officer, who lead him to a gripping finale.
Reality and eastern mysticism are entangled in an imperceptible way.
