Act of faith (Short screenplay)

A man sentenced to death by the Inquisition awakens to find himself in a dark dungeon being watched closely by his captors, who intend to punish him by causing him mental torture and physical peril. Battling unreasoned fear, the prisoner faces a number of death traps, including the eponymous pit and the swinging pendulum.
