In an unknown regime, Cem Sevinen, a jobless linguist suffers from hopelessness and misery for which he blames the strongman and his misrule. When his sorrow turns into hatred, he decides to come to terms with him. However, once he delves into the idea, he also starts to question his limits as a political actor.

On the basis of an individual story, Me and the Strongman discusses the significance of political communication, its limits as well as the opportunities it provides for fighting authoritarian and totalitarian political practices that try to silence and obfuscate dissidence.
