Life in the 1990s. Young Emma Ryan is ready for the the world, even if the world certainly isn't ready for Emma.

Emma is in a crisis. She has just left university, has no job and is about to dump her boyfriend. She knows the whole wonderful world is at her feet – only, she just might trip over it.

She seizes a chance of a new career with a travel company and sets off to find adventure.
