Madonna of the Horses

If wishes were horses...

Practically impoverished pastry-chef Merri never expected that her wish for an easier life would be granted But when an image of the Madonna appears on her horse's blanket, pilgrims arrive in droves and enterprising barn workers cash in on their faith. But Merri knows--the Madonna is nothing more than a peroxide stain. Should she tell the Faithful that their miracles are a delusion and the "specially blessed" products they're purchasing are fraudulent?

...beggars would ride.

Or should Merri let them keep their beliefs and accept the miracle of the Madonna de los Caballos herself? It's making her life so much easier, even if it is all a lie.
