Alzheimer's disease has likely been around for thousands of years. It has only been given a name in recent times. This is a design guide using ancestral and modern day family photographs in a systematic method to promote cognitive stimulation for Alzheimer's patients. This is based on a method developed by "live in caregiver's", a daughter and her husband. The caregivers’ experiences and observations, over a 5 year period of in-home care, generated this helpful guide for developing a useful Memory Book as a tool to assist memory stimulation. It's helpful not only for the Alzheimer's Patient, but the book includes a questionnaire for conversation topics that are useful for developing family history. These topics become a resource for family members to retain information on historical family life… the life of the Alzheimer’s person themselves. You can learn the legends associated with the pictures, while engaged in conversation that stimulates and exercises the Alzheimer's patient’s memory. You’re sure to find it very helpful.
