Near Light

In the far future, two factions of humanity, the Colony and the Galactic Imperium have laid claim to outer space. For Colonial Investigator Miriam Ancell, their petty differences don't mean much. She's content to investigate smugglers and take bribes here or there. But when a distress signal is sent from a star freighter named the Selenite on the edge of Colonial Space, Miriam finds herself dragged into a case of science run amok. As she races to solve the case before the Selenite slips beyond the reach of the Colony, Miriam will have to face mad doctors, laser-toting androids, and some very strange young girls. Near Light is a fast-paced adventure story with gritty action and a bloody conclusion.
