The Black Siege

Kar-Durath has stood for four hundred years.

Carved into black stone and defended by iron gates, the mountain-hold has never fallen to surface armies.

But this siege does not come from above.

When aqueducts collapse and wells turn bitter, the dwarves of Kar-Durath discover an ancient enemy moving through the deep places beneath their foundations. The Deepkin - driven from their ancestral depths centuries ago - have returned with patience instead of rage, and sabotage instead of open war.

Commander Durgan Ironfall must decide whether to fight for every tunnel and forge, or abandon half the hold to prevent total collapse.

Steel and pride built Kar-Durath.

But survival may require something harder:

Compromise.

The Black Siege is a gritty dwarven war fantasy about attrition, honor, and the cost of sharing a mountain that was never truly owned.

No prophecies.
No chosen heroes.
Just stone, steel, and decisions that cannot be undone.
