The Birth of a Queen

Bees can communicate the loss of a queen bee and when this happens, the bees create a new queen cell from a worker bee cell. With a diet of royal jelly it hatches into a queen bee. If there is more than one new queen hatching the queens fight until one of them kills the other. This ensures the survival of the hive.
