Of Our Elaborate Plans . . .tracks the period my wife and I departed "The Last Frontier" in 1998, a migration south to the more temperate digs of "The Evergreen State" where we tried our hands at the country life, hobby-farming on twenty forested acres, and taking trips to a few of our favorite Oz-like destinations in "The Land Down Under" — finally, reduced to a couple planting our age-sedated selves into the heart of San Diego’s nearby urban downtown Li’l Italy.
