Be True!

This is confirmation advice for youth in the Evangelical Lutheran church. There are practical thoughts ("stay away from gambling, drinking and dance houses") and spiritual advice ("attend Sunday-school, be prayerful, follow God"). While planted firmly in the past (1890), Be True! is a useful document for contemporary readers as it reaffirms the sublimity of ceremony, the importance of tradition and recalls to everyone's mind the difficult but rewarding path to adulthood.
