Greg Salvatore published his first book of poetry back in 2003. 22 years later, he's put together another collection of poems that range from profound to profoundly silly, hopeless to hopeful, simple to simply perfect. Categorized by length into four sections, the poems cover such themes as loneliness, love, nature, society, sexuality, and loss. Sonnets stand next to haikus, rhymed next to unrhymed, metered next to free verse.

In his preface, he writes, "I find that poetry tends to be of two types: the simple and the profound." You'll find those two types here, sometimes even residing in the same poem. And in this simple profundity you'll find poems that are accessible to all, but may reveal more than they appear on the surface.
