Preexisting Conditions

When Richie "Fabio" Fazio, at the behest of his girlfriend, undergoes an experimental nano-tech procedure to cure his aggressive personality, he finds he can no longer stomach his career in the underworld. At first, Fabio believes his problems are solved when a stranger who knows far too much about Fabio's history and work methods turns up on his doorstep. But soon he finds that the problems spiral out of control and he must thread a new path in his employer's desire to rule the underworld in the New York City area. The chase is on to solve Fabio's employment issues, discover a way to use his cure for his employer's needs, and escape the net the police are weaving to capture the notorious assassin they know as "Dead-Eye Dick."
