Maya Finch was supposed to be planning a wedding. Instead, she's shredding her ex-fiancé's sweatshirt on the floor of her best friend's apartment and wondering how her life detonated so spectacularly.

Three weeks after discovering her fiancé's infidelity, Maya is newly single, emotionally scorched, unemployed, and bitterly disenchanted with romance. With Valentine's Day looming and her faith in love officially dead, she does the only reasonable thing: she sarcastically prays for an angel who's great in bed and expects absolutely nothing in return.
