The Roots of Maryjane

Maryjane is the product of a very dysfunctional family. a depressed mother who turns to alcohol to handle her neglect and abuse, and eventually becomes absent in the home. a sadistic brother who takes over her life at a very young age. an abusive and alcoholic father who forgets she is a child. determined to make a way for herself, she leaves to start a new life. only to have her past catch up to her in the most gruesome way. a friend and her newly acquired faith pull her through, opening the door to the opportunities and the life that had been waiting on her all along.
