Can the Danes teach us something about being happy and living the best possible life that we can? What is it about the Danish lifestyle that allows us to ponder perhaps even about what happened to us or whether we have flied off our own axes a long time ago?
The Dane’s believe that to live happily and peacefully, you must practice hygge. What exactly is hygge?
Hygge is a Danish/Norwegian word that translates as a feeling of coziness. It can also mean kinship and conviviality. If mindfulness is about the self and looking inward, hygge is about being sociable and looking outward—it’s about taking pleasure in the simple things in life in fellowship with kin.
The Nordic have a different perspective on living. They may be our north-eastern cousins, yet it seems at times the way we live is a world apart. Therefore, this e-book will explore the context of Nordic living and how it operates.
Ideally, I hope this e-book will become a primer for how to live life to the fullest in our home. We all need hygge in our lives, especially us Westerners.
