WE MET IN A TEAR

We met in a tear, along a path

Of disappointments and pains.

Our skin was lined with wrinkles.

Our hair was as gray as the days.

In that tear were drowned all the

Suspended dreams of a distant past,

The nostalgia of the summer days,

The loneliness of the winter nights.

We met in a tear .
