The Third Coin

Bea Brightman is smart; smart enough to know that being popular matters. After attending eight schools in as many years, she’s a master at making friends. That is until her archaeologist father moves them to New York City in search of an elusive coin. There she meets Nisha Lakewood, a girl who may hold the key to finding it. The only problem is, Nisha wants nothing to do with her.

Nisha Lakewood is the class outcast. All the kids at school think she's a freak with magical powers. But at home, her fortunetelling Aunt Faye finds her disappointingly lacking in “talent”. However, as Nisha approaches her thirteenth birthday, things begin to change. When Bea and Indy, a boy from the neighborhood, decide to pay Aunt Faye a visit, the three young teens find themselves caught up in a quest to find the missing Third Coin of Avalon. To do so they must solve the prophecy, master magical objects and face a ruthless druid, all while dealing with the everyday horrors of middle school.
