"The Promotion" tells the story of two friends who are always in some type of competition. However, their competitions tend to be on the lighthearted and well-meaning side. This story shows that no matter what, your friends are with you till the end. Finally, "Trials" is a psychological story about Tommy Gardner and his battle within his own mind as well with his so called friend. Everything for Tommy feels out of focus until he realizes what is truly transpiring.
