The sunrise and the dying light from the embers cast long shadows that danced eerily on the walls, illuminating the remnants of a world once vibrant and full of life. Red cautiously exited the building's safety, stepping into a reality fraught with danger and uncertainty. The city's edge was chaotic, a stark contrast to the tranquil dawn.

Destruction lay everywhere, a grim testament to the havoc wreaked by the infection. We experienced our first lone, shambling walker, a haunting figure that seemed to embody the despair around us. The slow, decaying corpse was the early stage of the infection, its skin stretched tightly over exposed bones, giving it a grotesque appearance.
