A space freighter pilot is assaulted, robbed, and stranded on the dreary, rain-lashed planet, Tempest. The price of his escape is to become a reluctant soldier in a brutal, mercenary conflict. Things have to get better, right? A dark, sometimes comically dark, tale with a wry twist.
