In the first story, "Secrets of the Play Place", see how young Preston ducks and dodges his way through a massive indoor playground to save his little sister from remaining frozen in an unfair game of freeze tag. From small crawlspaces, bungee walkways, and massive ball pits, Preston wonders how he'll escape from the newly remodeled playhouse.

The second story, "To Give and Take", follows two teenagers, Tanner and Curtis, on a small heist. Their goal; rob the money from a donation box at their local church. What's supposed to be a quick job goes into a complicated mess when one of the boys begin to question their actions and morals during the heist, until an unexpected visitor steps inside.

In the final entry of this collection, "Sliding Doors" takes readers to Marvin General Hosptial, a place of healing tuned into a house of death from a mysterious outbreak. Nurse Jane runs past bloody hallways and cannibalistic patients towards the safe elevator doors. She enters the elevators with a man inside, and as they begin their descent, the stranger shows small signs of infection.
