Tribal: The River King's Bride

Nestled along the riverbank, far from the reach of most civilization, lies an unusual village inhabited by a community of secluded river dwellers. They do not recognize chiefs or kings in the traditional sense. In fact, even their tribal elders would shy away from calling themselves leaders. This is due to the presence of a 'king' already; a colossal mythical being that resides in the depths of their river, best described as a fusion of man and crocodile - the river king Ng'ona. They regard him as a cherished protector, and each year, the most beautiful young woman of the tribe is bestowed with the esteemed title of his "bride" to appease Ng'ona's desires. This year, Tisa has been selected, a privilege she has cherished since childhood, convinced that her fate was intertwined with this honor. She has dedicated her life to preparing for the 'wedding night' when the formidable Ng'ona rises from the waters to unite with his chosen bride. Unlike those who came before her, Tisa is resolute in her quest to become the only mate he will ever require.
