First Time Jitters

"Like say for instance," he went on, "a scenario like where I come home early from work and discover you're up in our bedroom with a guy," he said.

"Doing?" I said. I was caught off guard by the suddenness of it.

"I'm in the hallway, say, and the door's open a couple of inches."

"What are you seeing in there?" I said. I swallowed hard and I bulged my eyes. Was he taking this moment to reveal something to me?

"You," he said. "On your elbows and knees on the bed," he said. He swallowed hard too and stared straight ahead.
