The secret of the Abnormals' existence is out, and Prisha is annoyed she's not in John's exclusive inner circle, and more annoyed with herself for caring at all. The two of them have been casual lovers for months, and her beauty, ferocity, and grace has always made her John's equal, so why would he think she can't handle him now?

John caused a PR nightmare by coming out as Abnormal, and everyone he loves is at risk. Prisha deserves to be spared the storm of hate, judgement, and threats, but she's as stubborn as he is. Then when Prisha refuses to be cowed by John's idiocy, a sixths sense makes her move on instinct—and right into the path of a bullet intended for John.
