Lily Vincent is on an Ozark Mountain road, heading toward her cousin's house when she sees a guy in an arm cast trying to change a tire. Of course she stops to help. Cade No-Last-Name is not very friendly or forthcoming, something she blames on his embarrassment at being saved by a girl. Whatever, right? She's certainly not looking for love even though he's perfectly gorgeous and has amazing ice blue eyes. Her blurted suggestion that he buy her a coffee as thanks is as much a shock to her as it is to him. Cade's mumbled excuse and hasty escape are all the answer she needs. They are nothing more than random travelers, briefly interacting on a cold winter night. Or not. Moonlight Ridge, Missouri, Lily's new home, is a small town, and apparently Cade lives there, too. So seeing him with some guys at a local pub isn't that weird until she walks up and congratulates him for getting his cast off. Cade's answer? "Baby, you've got the wrong guy." That gets a derisive laugh from his boisterous friends. Certain he's really Cade, she has to wonder--Is he embarrassed, forgetful, or hiding the truth from his "friends"?
