Marchand Janse van Rensburg was born in South Africa in 1994, the year the country held its first democratic elections. He played guitar in several bands and switched to vocals shortly after his first solo performance.
Leaving behind his music, he began writing The Elders Have Spoken while pursuing his diploma as a personal trainer and “giving it his best shot” to be a professional writer. He discovered the peace and quiet of writing was far better suited to his personality and rather than go out drinking with friends, he chose to write.
Nearly six years later and ardently supported by his fiancée, parents and friends, he has finally completed his debut novel. He has wasted no time in starting the second book War of the Fallen Gods in the trilogy he envisions.
