Heart of the Ocean

Ella is a geologist hired to do an survey for a company that wants to build an underwater city on the continental shelf just beyond U.S. territory.

Unfortunately, they discover that the building site the company has settled on has already been claimed and settled--for generations. It is called Shendoe, the realm of the merfolk/shifters called the Kirean. When they set up their equipment right in the heart of the realm, they are taken prisoner.

Interrogating the intruders is next to impossible since they don’t speak the same language. Commander Olric of Shendoe defenses has other ideas about how to deal with Ella, however.
