Makayla is a twenty-three-year-old, struggling Black writer who is considering giving up when she gets a mysterious DM. She finds herself meeting THE Daniel Nilou, an author whose works she read all the way back in high school.

She's thrown for a loop when the older man tells her he likes not only her writing but also her body. Now, she has not only a publishing deal on the line but also a potential relationship. Money, opulence, and success are coming at her like a bullet, and she's not sure if she's ready.
