The Heedless Plague

Since before the dawn of humankind, the genders have complemented and supported each other. Central to that has always been the primal desire of men for women. But what happens if that primal desire were to change. What if men no longer desired women, but focused their energies on themselves and their own interests. What would happen to civilization? What would it mean for relations between the sexes? What could even cause such a thing, and can it be stopped before it is too late? Two scientists race against time in search of these answers, even as many ordinary people face these same questions in their own lives, and then must answer, what does this mean for the future?
