Coop collapsed to the freshly mopped but barely dry beige floor. The spiritual wind knocked out of his soulful sails. "My world's the same way. Only with a slightly different, um, egg-free belief system."

Cass plopped down next to him. "I wonder what it all means."

"He came back in here! And he's kidnapped Cassie!" shouted Ron Purdue who returned to grab some flashlights.

"No, he's"–

–Coop clasped his hand over Cassie's mouth and dragged her into the pantry, where he locked the door. On the minus side, he trapped himself in a tiny room. On the plus side, he found where they kept the extra chocolate chip cookies.

"What do you think you're doing?"

"I'm hungry!" said Dustin as he stuffed his mouth and pockets full of cookies.

"Not that!" said Cassie. "Why did you act like you kidnapped me?"

"They're out to get me no matter what," mumbled Dustin with his mouth teeming with sweet chocolaty goodness. "So we don't have to give them a reason to go after you too."

"If I'm a helpless victim, I can't be blamed?"

Coop nodded, glad she understood.

She screamed, "Help!"

Coop shook his head, sad she understood. After devouring another delicious cookie, he glared.

Cassie smiled as she playfully patted his left shoulder with her right hand. "You made an excellent point. You're only visiting; I have to live here, so what harm does my yelling 'help' do?"

Dustin shrugged as he wolfed down another cookie.

"Help! Help!" She giggled. "After all, it's kind of fun."

"Cassie's in trouble!" blared a deep, authoritative voice on the other side of the door. "All units close in; and shoot to kill! I repeat, 'shoot to kill!'"

As she and Coop grimaced, Cassie mouthed, "Sorry."

Lost and tossed! With disdain, Dustin lost his appetite and tossed aside a half-eaten cookie. "I was fine eating cookies until nightfall, but now I have to find a way out of here." The tiny food closet suddenly felt even tinier.

"We're locked inside a pantry."

"That is the tricky part."

Drilling and yelling resounded from the other side of the pantry door.
