In the summer of 1940, Britain is fighting for its survival in a war against Nazi Germany. Into this danger zone, a young Canadian journalist, Jeremy Wilde, is assigned to London to profile fellow Canadians working for the war effort. When told of the posting by his editor, it sounded like a straightforward assignment. However, things take a troubling turn when a Canadian nurse, Margaret Ryan, shares her fears with him that Jewish refugees are disappearing from a refugee shelter where she volunteers. Even more alarming, she's convinced they're being murdered. Together, Jeremy and Margaret uncover a nest of conspirators and human smugglers. Who is behind the heinous deeds being carried out?
