After his release from prison, Mace Walker has two goals – prove himself innocent of grand theft and see the guilty party punished. Even if his ex-fiancée, Felecia McIntyre, helped frame him. Maybe especially so.
Three years ago, Felecia’s heart broke to watch prison doors slide shut behind the man she loved. It broke again when Mace refused to allow her to visit and her letters were returned unopened. Now, her life has changed. She’s busy helping at her cousins’ construction equipment business, and a gray cat named Callahan has showed up in town and attached himself to her.
It’s two weeks before Christmas when Mace walks back into her life. A crime-solving cat may be just what Felecia needs because Mace has changed. He’s angry, bitter, and out for revenge, and Felecia finds herself wanting to help prove his innocence.
Cat Callahan would be just as content watching Christmas–or Dirty Harry–videos with Dax, his traveling companion. Neither Mace nor Felecia display much in the way of Christmas spirit, so It’s A Wonderful Life is an unlikely outcome. But, then, they don’t know how adept Callahan is at solving mysteries!
