After finally finding herself free from a painful marriage, Gabby Kappa is starting to get her life back in order. She has a good job and a weekend catering gig. All of her free time is devoted to her daughter, Vivie.

When Gabby's sister invites her for a weekend getaway to New York, the last thing she expects to do is to meet her teen celebrity crush, Ben McNaughton. Surprisingly enough, Ben is very down to earth and even has some Minnesota roots near Gabby's home town. The friendship is instantaneous and comfortable which is exactly what both of them are needing. There is a spark of attraction between them but they both have their reasons not to pursue it.
