Elizabeth, Lilly and Thomas's mother, needs surgery. She hired a coach taxi to take the children to their Aunt Penelope who lives in London. Unknown to her, the coachman is sinister and kidnaps the children and takes them to the magical land called Pidl. He is turning them over to an evil empress to collect his reward. She uses children as her slaves. They escape and run to a distant forest where they meet a stranger who warns them, "once you are in, you can never get back out." But he (and only he) has the power to release beings from the deadly forest. He promises to help them as they begin their trek through the forest. They have many encounters inside the forest, and outside the forest as they try to get back home. The adventure of a lifetime begins as they try to return to their mother.
If you like C.S. Lewis's Narnia, you'll love this one. It is well written by auther Terri L. Doutrich. You will be glad you got your copy.
