Beyond the Mirror Where Happiness Lies

This is a book about a young boy, Kevin, who from the very beginning of his life was placed in an orphanage. He faces many hardships and feels that a fun-filled childhood will never be part of his life. He is left alone with no one to love him and is always the target of the ill-intentioned Sister Kate. So, one day he is punished yet again and is sent to the basement in which he discovers a strange presence coming from the mirror he hadn't noticed before. It lights up with a brightness that causes him to focus on it. As he tries to touch the mirror, his hand goes through it and he is pulled into another world. From there he discovers that he can be or do whatever he wants. He couldn't believe that what he had wished for, the kind of luxurious life every kid wanted, was now his and more. A great short story for all to enjoy!
