My Shadow Savior

During Vietnam, the sudden death of their mother orphans twelve-year autistic Roberta "Robbe" Evans and younger brother Jack. Now, they're forced to live in a foster home run by harsh Minister Tanner and wife, Rose. Instantly, Robbe's autism conjures a shadow friend to help navigate through her new anguish. Soon unexpected friendships with Gloria, a blind navy wife and Jesse, a love-bitten classmate, offer her comfort.
