Siblings Karl Von Saxe-Kline and Bigitte Von Saxe-Kline were going through Serrick on their own errands: Bigitte was taking her daughter Jutta home after the girl had a breakdown. Karl wants to expand the road that Eric has entrusted him with, and he hoped Emil of Serrick could help him.

But when they arrived in the small mining town, the local mine had mysteriously flooded, killing a worker and leaving the miners desperately asking questions. Did malicious kobolds collapse their only source of income? Was there something wrong with the land itself? Had someone sabotaged the troubled enterprise?
